Clinical context
A 28-year-old woman presents with joint pain and swelling in her knees and wrists for the past two weeks. On examination, there is tenderness over the costochondral joints. Laboratory studies show elevated inflammatory markers. The patient reports similar symptoms in the past that resolved spontaneously. Imaging reveals cartilage inflammation without evidence of infection.
