Visual examination of the bladder using a cystoscope
Clinical context
A 55-year-old male presents with hematuria and frequent urinary tract infections. Cystoscopy reveals a 2cm mass in the bladder wall with irregular borders. The patient undergoes transurethral resection of the bladder tumor and histopathology confirms urothelial carcinoma. Follow-up cystoscopy is scheduled to monitor for recurrence.
