Clinical context
A 45-year-old patient presents with chronic skin lesions consisting of firm, raised nodules that have been present for several months. The lesions are non-pruritic and have a violaceous color. Histopathological examination of a skin biopsy reveals the presence of granulomas with epithelioid cells and multinucleated giant cells. The patient has no history of tuberculosis or sarcoidosis.
