Clinical context
A 58-year-old man with hepatocellular carcinoma involving the right lobe of the liver requires surgical intervention. The patient undergoes a right hepatectomy with successful removal of the diseased portion. Postoperatively, he is monitored for complications including bleeding and liver failure.
