hypotension
Definition
abnormally low blood pressure
Clinical context
A 65-year-old man presents to the emergency department with dizziness and near-syncope after starting lisinopril for hypertension. His blood pressure is 90/60 mmHg, heart rate is 110 bpm, and he appears pale and diaphoretic. He denies chest pain or shortness of breath.
