Definition
A tumor arising from Leydig cells, which are found in the testes and produce testosterone
Clinical context
A 55-year-old male presents with progressive fatigue, decreased libido, and gynecomastia. Physical examination reveals testicular masses and elevated estrogen levels. Imaging shows bilateral testicular masses. Laboratory studies demonstrate elevated testosterone and hCG levels. The patient undergoes orchiectomy and pathology reveals a Leydig cell tumor.
