abnormal dilatation of lymphatic vessels
Clinical context
A 3-year-old child presents with chronic diarrhea, weight loss, and abdominal distension. Physical examination reveals peripheral edema and a palpable mass in the left upper quadrant. Laboratory studies show hypoalbuminemia and lymphopenia. Imaging demonstrates dilated lymphatic vessels in the mesentery.
