A tumor arising from the meninges, the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord
Clinical context
A 65-year-old woman presents with gradually worsening headaches and visual disturbances. MRI reveals a well-circumscribed, enhancing mass along the falx cerebri with marked contrast enhancement and surrounding edema. The tumor demonstrates the classic 'dural tail' sign on imaging.
