Clinical context
A 28-year-old woman presents with severe pain, numbness, and weakness in her left arm after a viral illness. Physical examination reveals decreased sensation along the median nerve distribution with positive Tinel's sign. MRI shows inflammation around the affected nerve. The patient is diagnosed with neuritis.
