Definition
A benign tumor composed of both bone and cartilage tissue
Clinical context
A 22-year-old athlete presents with a painless mass on his thigh that has been slowly growing over several years. Physical examination reveals a firm, non-tender lump that moves with the underlying bone. Imaging shows a well-defined lesion with a cartilage cap overlying a bony projection. The patient has no history of trauma or systemic symptoms.
