situs inversus

Clinical context
A 25-year-old man presents to the emergency department with acute abdominal pain. During the physical examination, the physician notes that the patient's heart sounds are located on the right side of the chest, and the liver dullness is palpable in the left upper quadrant. Further imaging reveals that all thoracic and abdominal organs are mirrored compared to their normal positions.
