Definition
A diagnostic test that measures how well the bladder and urethra store and release urine
Clinical context
A 65-year-old woman presents with symptoms of urinary incontinence and difficulty emptying her bladder. She reports frequent urination during the day and nocturia, and often feels like she cannot fully empty her bladder. Her primary care physician refers her for urodynamic studies to evaluate her bladder function and determine the cause of her symptoms.
